Dr Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma, Chairperson of the Africa Prosperity Network (APN) Advisory Council, has challenged African leaders to move beyond rhetoric and deliver tangible results that will transform the continent.
Speaking at the Africa Prosperity Dialogue, she emphasized that "history will not judge us by the speeches we make, but by the Africa we leave behind."
Dr. Dlamini Zuma's call to action came as she addressed a gathering of leaders from across Africa, who had convened to discuss strategies for achieving economic integration and prosperity.
She urged them to prioritize action over rhetoric, saying, "The time has passed for speeches; it's time for us to deliver."
The Chairperson emphasized that Africa's future depends on its ability to unite and take control of its destiny. She noted that the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) offers a unique opportunity for Africa to achieve economic integration and prosperity, but warned that this will require collective action and a commitment to delivering results.
Dr. Dlamini Zuma's remarks were echoed by other speakers at the event, who emphasized the need for African leaders to work together to address the continent's challenges. They noted that Africa has the potential to become a global economic powerhouse, but that this will require sustained investment in infrastructure, education, and innovation.
The Africa Prosperity Dialogue is a premier platform for driving regional integration, intra-Africa trade, and sustained investment. The event brings together leaders from across Africa to discuss strategies for achieving economic integration and prosperity.
As Dr. Dlamini Zuma emphasized, "History will not judge us by the speeches we make, but by the Africa we leave behind." The challenge now is for African leaders to deliver results that will transform the continent and secure a brighter future for all Africans.
