President Captain Ibrahim Traore: The African Messiah Visits Ghana!

Burkina Faso, the ‘Land of the Upright People’ is lucky (unlike many African countries) to have Captain Ibrahim Traore as their President.

The African continent is extremely rich in resources. Yet, Africa is extremely poor due to poor leadership strongly sponsored, protected and manipulated by non Africans. The real and bad dictators are election riggers, whose governments are not the governments of the people but for themselves and their Western masters.

Talking of democracy, Traore is a true democrat. His government works for the people. His government is by the people. The people have endorsed his administration. So, it should not matter what others say. Only those who can no longer benefit from Traore’s government are lamenting. Let them continue to lament while Burkinabe continue to prosper.

Though Traore presides over Burkina Faso, he inspires an entire continent, putting most of his African colleagues to shame. Captain Traore has embarrassed Western leaders, describing them for who they truly are.

A Congolese driver in Belgium said, ‘any African government that works for imperialists and colonialists against her own people should be toppled’.

If it is normal for the West to topple Pan-African leaders, why is it troubling to the West for a Pan-African leader to topple a corrupt Western puppet on the African soil?

Ghanaians have been educated by Nkrumah and Rawlings. Ghanians can easily identify ‘a devil in the church’.

Despite assuming powers through different routes, President John Dramani Mahama immediately plug the courage (and rightly so), by inviting his ‘junior brother’, President Traore to his (Mahama’s) inauguration. With this move, Mahama has clearly positioned himself. Mahama is not shy go for a dinner with Traore, Tchiani and Assimi. Some elected Western puppets on motherland have been put to shame with Mahama’s gesture.

The inauguration in Accra was electrifying. Traore ‘stole’ Mahama’s show to the amusement of Mahama. How can the West explain to Ghanaians and Africans that Traore is bad for Africa, when Africans see Traore as the African Messiah?

The invitation of Traore was a lesson that Mahama taught his colleagues, Ghanaians, Africans and the West. A Ghanaian university student in the UK had this to say, ‘thank you, President Mahama for that courageous gesture. Ghana is a sovereign state. No one should tell us who are friends should be. Traore might be an enemy to the West, to us (Ghanaians), Traore is a good man that deserves our love, respect, support and protection. Traore will take us to the promise land’.

How can one man be an embodiment of Nkrumah, J J Rawlings, Lumumba, Gaddafi, Samora Machel, Mandela and Benjamin Burombo?

Unfortunately, Traore is not just fighting colonialists and imperialists. There are dishonest Africans fighting alongside imperialists against Traoe. Just like Benjamin Burombo, ‘each time’ Traore wants to ‘fight for African rights’, Traore uses ‘only one hand-because the other hand is busy trying to keep away Africans who are fighting’ Traore. Ghanaians, Malians, Nigeriens and Burkinabe are determined to give Traore the support he needs and deserves.

Joe Koffi, a retired civil servant had this to say when asked about the ECOWAS and the West not recognizing Traore, ‘to hell with them. Let them stay at their ‘high places’. We have compared and contrasted their ‘bad’ Traore to African puppets. Our findings show we were wrong to even contemplate doing any comparison.

With the arrival of JD Mahama, there is some breath of relief now in Ghana, Burkina Faso, Niger and Mali.
