Educationist and Managing Director of The Danquah International School, Patrick Apea-Danquah, has been honored as one of Ghana’s 100 Most Influential People (MIPA) in 2024.

This remarkable recognition highlights his unwavering commitment to blending traditional and advanced technologies to help pupils and students reach their full potential. And also his involvement in policy making across Africa.

The award also serves as a benchmark for quality and impactful service delivery, ensuring timely access to education for all.

The five-star ceremony, organized by the Business Executive Group, was held at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel in Accra. The event aims to celebrate outstanding personalities in Ghana whose professional expertise, experience, and achievements have significantly influenced the country’s social, economic, political, and cultural spheres.

The 2024 edition of MIPA also celebrates the resilience and excellence of individuals and organizations amidst recurring challenges.

Speaking to the media after receiving the award, Patrick Apea-Danquah expressed his gratitude for the recognition.

“I feel deeply honored by this milestone. It serves as a confidence booster for all the team players at the Institute for Education Studies (IFEST), the Ghana National Council of Private Schools (GNACOPS), and the students and PTA of Danquah International School. I am committed to working tirelessly to secure a brighter future for students in Ghana and beyond while continuing to shape educational policies across Africa,” Patrick noted with a smile.

ABOUT PATRICK APEA-DANQUAH
Patrick Apea-Danquah is a distinguished Ghanaian educationist and a prominent leader in the education sector. Since 2015, he has served as the Director of Danquah International School, transforming it into the largest private basic school in the Okaikwei North Municipal Assembly (ONMA) within six years. The school boasts an enrollment of over 640 students and is the only private basic school in ONMA with its own Senior High School. Danquah International School is widely recognized for its exceptional academic performance and vibrant extracurricular programs.

Beyond his role at the school, Patrick serves as the Deputy Director of the Institute for Education Studies (IFEST), advising governments and organizations across Africa on effective education policies and practices. Since 2019, he has also contributed to national education policy-making as the Secretary to the Policy Formation Committee of the Ghana National Council of Private Schools, helping to develop strategies for the efficient management of private schools in Ghana.

Patrick holds a Master’s degree in Education Management and Practice and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Business Management at TALI Graduate School. He is also a published author, with notable works including articles on stakeholder engagement in educational policy development.

His exceptional contributions to education have earned him numerous accolades, including being named the Most Influential Young Educationist at the Youth Excellence Awards Africa 2024. Among the awardees were the likes of Mrs Efua Ghartey- President of the Ghana Bar Association and Group managing director of Melcom Group of companies - Ramesh Sadhwani.
