NPP Zango Wing (NASARA Club) A Pure Deception

Zango in Ghana is referred to as a community of non-native residents with diverse ethnical backgrounds who are mostly Muslims. In these communities, apart from those who are the descendants of Naa Gbewa, the Gonjas and other tribes from the north, the rest are the Hausa, Wangara, Youruba, Mossi, Fulani, Kotokoli, among others whose great-grandparents settled and contributed to the development of this land before the coming into the existence of Ghana. Our ancestors were the source of labor in the development of railway, cocoa, timber and mines industries in the Gold-Coast due to their physique and fitness. Not only they helped laid the economic foundation of Ghana and developed its infrastructure, but they also served in the military when it was an active service for the fittest and brave, not for fashion and luxury as it appears to be today. Communities founded by our ancestors are now prosperous towns and cities in Ghana. Mention could be made of Kete, now Kete-Krachi in Oti Region, Salaga in Savannah, Sabongida in Tamale, Cow Legs, Now Cow Lane in Accra, just to mention a few. How dare the NPP claimed that we are foreigners and don't deserve to acquire Ghana Card to be able to register and vote in Ghana?

The first NPP mercenary tasked to execute this diabolic agenda against the people of Zango is Abu Ramadan, the biological brother of Samira Bawumia, the wife of Bawumia and the aspiring first lady of Ghana counting on the votes of the very people they helped sabotaged and disfranchised. How shameless could these people be? Abu Ramadan could best be described as a traitor; for lack of good conscience, he happily sabotaged his own people with the tacit approval of Bawumia and his wife for a political reward. So shameful! Ramadan led a crusade to ensure that people who get on the voter register using health insurance card are removed from the electoral roll, with the belief that most of them are foreigners (Zangolis) which include the Fulanis, his own people.

The continuous disdain and acrimony of Bawumia's NPP against the people of Zango continued when they headed to court to have a Ghanaian birth certificate cancelled as a prove of citizenship. In a programmed court where integrity and good conscience are thrown to the dogs, where an outcome of a case is determined at the presidency, political party fanatics and tribal bigots are appointed as judges, a weird judgement that can't stand scrutiny and the test of time will always be delivered without shame. By cancellation of birth certificate as a proof of citizenship, I don't think Abu Ramadan and his dad, Alhaji Ramadan have qualified for their names to be on Ghana's electoral roll, because Fulanis are not indigenes of Ghana.

But why is Bawumia's NPP upset to see the people of Zango's names on the electoral roll? Is because they know Zango people in their right frame of mind won't vote for the NPP for anything in this world. The source of these feelings among the people of Zango is the reckless and wicked implementation of the 1969 Aliens Compliance Order by Busia and his PP which has now metamorphosed into NPP all in an attempt to hide their past. But history never dies. We the NPP's victims of recklessness remember and heard of the kind of indignity our forefathers went through in the hands of the NPP simply because they were successful people due to their hard work. Some sold their properties cheaply, others couldn't even sell. Some died of heart failure due to frustration. This brought about resentment among the people of Zango towards people from the UP tradition till date. Given the antecedents of the past, it is only proper, right and fair that we, the Zango people always choose NDC over NPP.

The big irony is the formation of the NASARA wing of the NPP. How do you detest a group of people without remorse and apology, and at the same time want to rely on them to elevate you?

But this shameless attitude should be expected from a group of people willing to do anything humanly possible including selling their mothers for political power. Interestingly, while the NDC was so vociferous in defence of the NPP's move to unjustly denied Ghanaian-born Zango people the right to citizenship, you could hear the loud silence of the so-called NSARA and their coordinators.

The current NPP strategy is cunningly using our mosques and Imams for politics. They don't care destroying the reputation of these gullible Imams to achieve their political interest as they did to some pastors and successfully soiled the reputation of the church in Ghana. They subtly and cunningly made a lot of effort to introduce NPP politics in the office of the Chief Imam using their agents around him. They are now recruiting popular but naive and immature Muslim preachers to use the religion and their sacred pulpit for partisan NPP politics. Most of these recruited Imams are self-seekers from Kumasi who are willing to soil their reputation for worldly materials. Anybody from the Zango who is an ardent supporter of the NPP is either doesn't know his or her history or is just protecting his or her belly. Even when it comes to community development and religious rights, the NDC per the records served Zango better.

The dignity of the people of Zango is a pride we jealously guard. If you take it away from us, no amount of money or the use of unscrupulous Imams can confuse us. NPP, you have eaten all your cakes in Zango, so you have no cake again.
