Mr. Kobena Woyome, MP For South Tongu, Your Emotional Propaganda About The All African Games' Expenditure Exposed

Mr. Kobena Woyome, NDC MP for South Tongu is taking advantage of this electioneering period to do wicked propaganda with regards to the organization of the recent All African Games, organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports on behalf of the good people of Ghana.

It is interesting to know that Mr. Kobena Woyome has filed a question in parliament for details regarding the organization of the games. The Ministry of Youth and Sports have provided parliament with details of what has transpired and the Minister For Youth and Sports will have the opportunity in parliament to answer questions with regard to any doubt that arises from the details provided. Very understandable!

It is weird for Mr. Woyome who is privileged to have in his possession the details of the organization of the games and has the opportunity to ask the Minister when parliament resumes but goes out there, deliberately peddling half-truths for political expediency.

Facts available revealed that the purported expenditure of $4.5 million on accreditation tags is a palpable falsehood and misleading. It has revealed that such amount was on game management modules of which accreditation tags was a subset of seven modules (Visa Accreditation, Internet Registration (ECR),

Accreditation (ACR), Vehicle Accreditation (vACR), Sports Entries & Qualification (SEQ), Workforce Management (WFM) and Volunteer Portal).

On the part of the feeding, it is disingenuous and emotional propaganda for Mr. Woyome to paint a picture that it was only the athletes that were fed during the games. He knows the number and category of people who were fed for the twenty-four-day period. The MP is aware that 12,902 persons, including Athletes & officials (7500), Medical (200), Security (180), Legon Security (65), Transport (150), LOC (35), IT/protocol (42), MOYS (20), Antidoping (60), Volunteers (3000), ITOs/TOs (1100) and Local/international media (550) were fed daily.

The tangent that Mr. Woyome is accelerating is purely wicked and deliberate propaganda without fairness to tarnish the image of the Minister Responsible For Youth and Sports. Mr. Woyome's posture is dishonorable and evil, to say the least. No propaganda will fly this time around unchecked.
