Some oil marketing companies (OMCs) have begun increasing their prices at the pumps following the commencement of July’s second pricing window.
One of the leading oil marketing companies, Shell for instance, which previously sold a litre of petrol at GHȼ14.80 is now selling at GHȼ15.10 while a litre of diesel previously selling at GH¢14.92 is now selling at GHȼ15.25
More OMCs are expected to adjust their prices upward at the pumps soon.
The Chamber of Petroleum Consumers (COPEC), ahead of the second pricing window for July, predicted a 4 percent rise in petroleum product prices effective Tuesday, July 16, 2024.

so what benefit did the citizenry gain from the so called Gold-for-oil ? Goil company decreased their prices and we though they were doing us favor but now they are on the lovers bench with TotalEnergies and the political folks
