Deal with arrogant tag to become a better leader — Manasseh tells Napo

Ghanaian investigative journalist Manasseh Azure Awuni has called on NPP Vice Presidential Candidate Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, widely known as Napo, to address perceptions of arrogance if he wants to improve as a leader.

In an opinion piece on his website manassehazure.com titled "Is Napo Arrogant? And Does It Matter?", Manasseh Azure assessed Dr. Opoku Prempeh's perceived arrogance and its implications.

The investigative journalist wrote "So Napo and his handlers should deal with the arrogance tag if he does not want to wear that cloak forever. It is a serious issue he must deal with."

Manasseh added that addressing the issue "will make him a better human being. And a better leader."

It will be recalled that Dr. Opoku Prempeh has often drawn criticism, especially on social media, over perceived arrogance and insensitivity in his public communications as a minister and MP.

This got heightened after the potential Vice President told Ghanaians asking for a timetable amid the country’s power cuts to bring it themselves.

However, in defence, the ruling NPP and proponent of Napo say his boldness, assertiveness and confidence are what has been mistaken for arrogance in the Ghanaian perspective.
