NASPA denies strike, urges calm among National Service Personnel

The National Service Personnel Association (NASPA) has issued a statement refuting claims made by a group calling itself the "Concerned NSS Personnel Association of Ghana" (CONSAG), which recently declared a strike for National Service personnel.

NASPA, the official representative body for all National Service personnel in Ghana, categorically states that no strike has been declared.

The association urges the public to disregard the statement from CONSAG, as they are not a recognized organization.

NASPA is in active discussions with the management of the National Service Scheme (NSS) to address the recent delays in allowance payments.

The association is pleased to inform all personnel that allowances for April 2024 have been processed and will be reflected in accounts by Friday, July 5, 2024. Additionally, allowances for May 2024 are expected to be paid by Friday, July 12, 2024.

NASPA reassures all personnel of its commitment to their well-being and is working diligently to prevent future delays and ensure timely reflection of allowances.

The association appreciates the patience and understanding of all service personnel during this period. NASPA urges all National Service personnel to remain calm and continue their valuable service to the nation.
