Akufo-Addo's road records unmatched in the 4th republic — Asenso-Boakye

The Minister of Roads and Highways, Francis Asenso-Boakye has lauded Akufo-Addo's achievements in road infrastructure, stating that his records are unmatched in the history of Ghana.

According to him, no government in the 4th Republic has been able to match President Akufo-Addo's achievement in the road sector. He also highlighted the significant effort the NPP administration, led by Akufo-Addo and Bawumia has also made in other sectors like health and education.

The minister made these bold assertions on his visit to the Overlord in Yend while calling on the people of Yendi to vote for Bawumia. "Everybody can attest to the fact that the work that we have done, the Nana Akufo-Addo, Bawumia administration has done in the area of roads, highways, bridges, and interchanges, no other government has been able to do what we have done in the history of Ghana. Today when I entered Yendi, I realized that Yendi deserves the kind of road infrastructure that we are seeing today. Also in the area of education and health, no government has performed better than the Akufo-Addo and Bawumia administration," he said.

Shortly after his bold statement, the overload of Dagbon, Yaa Naa Abukari II, stated how Yendi has now become an attractive place for investors due to the development the region has seen.

He explained, " the achievements of government in Dagbon and Ghana cannot be over-emphasized. Dagbon is now a very attractive place for investors and tourists. On behalf of the chiefs and people of the area, I wish to call on government to bring more developmental projects which will meet the desires and expectations of the good people of Yendi and Dagbon as a whole. I wish to use this opportunity to appeal to government to speed up the ongoing road projects in the region."
