The Muhammed VI Foundation for African Ulama, a charitable organization established by the King of Morocco to foster unity among Muslim scholars and promote Islam, has generously provided food assistance to more than 250 Muslim families in Ghana.

This donation is part of the foundation's annual outreach program, which extends aid to Muslims across several African nations during the holy month of Ramadan. The donated items, which include 22.5kg of rice, cooking oil, tea leaves, milk, and tomato paste, are expected to alleviate the hardships faced by many Muslim families within their communities.

During Ramadan, Muslims are encouraged to engage in acts of charity, including providing food and financial support to those in need. Such acts not only fulfill religious obligations but also serve as a means of purifying one's wealth and seeking spiritual rewards.

The Mohammed VI Foundation for African Ulama's annual donation specifically targets widows, individuals with disabilities, and impoverished members of society. The foundation prioritizes bringing joy to the faces of those in need.

Speaking to the media during the distribution of the food items, Sheikh Mustapha Ibrahim, President of the Ghana branch of the foundation, emphasized that Ramadan is a time dedicated to strengthening community ties and embodying the spirit of sharing and togetherness, which are fundamental to the Muslim faith.

Sheikh Ibrahim called for peaceful religious coexistence in the country and expressed hope that Muslims would continue to uphold the core values of peace and tolerance inherent in their religion. He also extended gratitude to the King and the government of Morocco for their ongoing support to Ghana and other African nations.

Similarly, Moroccan Ambassador Ms. Ouaadil conveyed well wishes to the Muslim community for a successful Ramadan, underscoring the importance of solidarity and support during this sacred time.
