It is becoming increasingly apparent that Hon. Kennedy Agyepong is the new deal for the current situation in Ghana. We have tried the cool type of president like Atta Mills and JAK and now nana Addo all to no avail. Nothing has really changed in Ghana, the indiscipline in the society, the thievery of national resources, the corruption among politicians, the breakdown of law and order, the unemployment among the youth, all we can say is that now, we need the "boom" type of president to bring back the straightforwardness we are lacking in our body politics in today's Ghana.
We all had a similar expectations for nana Addo upon his assumption of office but he failed miserably and has condoned corruption and indiscipline. Just look at what happened to the fight against galamsey after wasting so much resources, what did we achieve? Absolutely nothing!!!, we are back to where we started and in some places even worse now than before. Nana Addo has forgotten that he put his presidency on the line for the fight against galamsey and yet he is still the president after his abysmal performance in the fight against galamsey.
in fact, the reason why most ministers and parliamentarians and party gurus are all supporting Dr. Bawumia is that, they all see in him a weak president who would allow them to steal their money and do the galamsey they are doing which has brought untold environmental destruction to our country. Just tell me who could nana Akufo Addo stop from doing galamsey in Ghana after all the vows and promises?
Bawumia's presidency would be the same weak one as that of nana Addo and Ghana will continue to be the loser. I'm convinced that if Paul Kagame is like Akufo Addo and his vice president Bawumia, he could not have changed Rwanda from its previous state to its present status. Africa and Ghana, need strong leadership to effect change and not the weak leadership like Bawumia who can't take Ghana anywhere. Truly, the change we all desire in Ghana requires a strong leader like Ken who would not tolerate wrongdoing and put Ghana first.
