
The Police arrested 14 suspects in connection with a violent clash that resulted in the deaths of two individuals near Dormaa Ahenkro in the Bono Region on July 25.
The arrested suspects have been identified as Hafiz Mohammed, Fuseini Mohammed, Abass Abukari, Alhassan Razak, Fuseini Shaibu, Addai Gyebi, Abubakari Issahaku, Seidu Sulemana, Kwabena Yeboah, Sulley Alhassan, Enoch Opoku, Ibrahim Issah, Obeng Richard, and Ibrahim Adams.
According to preliminary investigations, they allegedly shot the two deceased persons while the victims were guarding a timber concession at Mpameso Forest.
Following their arrest, a search was conducted, and the Police discovered eight (8) pump-action guns, a cutlass, and a knife in the possession of the suspects.
All 14 suspects are currently in Police custody, cooperating with the ongoing investigation. They are set to face justice as they are scheduled to appear in court today, 27th July 2023, for their alleged involvement in the deadly clash.
The incident has raised serious concerns about security in the area, prompting the need for swift and effective measures to prevent further violence and safeguard the lives and property of citizens. The court proceedings will be closely monitored by the public, who seek justice for the victims and demand accountability for those responsible for the tragic incident.
