President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has praised resigned Minister for Sanitation and Water Resources, Mrs. Cecilia Dapaah for the work she did during her period in government.
In his letter accepting the resignation of the Minister, the President described her work in his government as excellent and productive.
“I have received your letter, dated Saturday, 22ND July 2023, resigning from office as Minister for Sanitation and Water Resources and as a member of the Government.
“I am confident, like you, that, at the end of the day, your integrity, whilst in office, will be fully established. I wish you the very best in all your endeavours.
“It is with considerable regret that I accept your resignation, and I applaud your loyalty to the image and standing of the government.
“The work you undertook during your period in government was excellent and productive,” a letter from President Akufo-Addo accepting the resignation letter of Cecilia Abena Dapaah said.
In his letter, the President extended his profound appreciation to the outgoing Sanitation Minister for not only her contribution but devotion to the progress of the government and the nation as well.
Mrs. Cecilia Dapaah resigned as Minister for Sanitation and Water Resources over the controversy about US$1 million, €300,000, and millions of Ghana cedis kept at her home.
In her resignation letter, she indicated that she has taken the decision to leave her post because she does not want the matter to distract the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) government.

An intelligent president, in my opinion, would never say such a thing to a minister involved in corruption. Who in their right mind in Ghana or a foreign country would consider Akufo Addo as a competent leader? It's a shame, that's why he has become a laughing-stock in the eyes of the public.
