Liberia Digital Inclusion Roundtable Convenes for Second Annual Gathering

The Second Annual Liberia Digital Inclusion Roundtable will take place on 29^thJune,2023, bringing together leaders from government, civil society, private sector, and academia to discuss strategies and actions for bridging the digital divide in Liberia.

Organized by West Africa ICT Action Network ( LIBERIA), the Liberia Digital & Financial Inclusion Roundtable aims to create a platform for collaboration and knowledge sharing among stakeholders in the ICT sector in Liberia. This year’s event builds on the success of the inaugural roundtable in 2022, which attracted over 50 participants and generated important discussions on the role of digital technology in advancing socio-economic development in Liberia.

“As Liberia continues to make strides in advancing its digital agenda, the need for inclusive and equitable access to digital technology becomes even more important,” said Peterking Quaye, Executive Director of West Africa ICT Action Network ( LIBERIA) , host of the Liberia Digital Inclusion Roundtable . “The Liberia Digital &Financial Inclusion Roundtable provides an opportunity for key stakeholders to come together and identify practical solutions for overcoming the barriers to digital access and adoption in Liberia.

The theme of this year’s roundtable is Collaborative Approaches: Accelerating Digital and Financial Inclusion in Liberia, which will explore issues such as: Strategies for expanding access to digital infrastructure and services in rural areas ,policies and programs to promote digital literacy and skills development , innovative financing models for sustainable digital inclusion and the role of public-private partnerships in advancing digital inclusion in Liberia .

The roundtable will feature keynote speeches, panel discussions, and breakout sessions, providing participants with opportunities to exchange ideas, share best practices, and network with fellow stakeholders in the digital inclusion ecosystem. “We look forward to a lively and productive discussion at this year’s Liberia Digital Inclusion Roundtable,” said Peterking Quaye, Executive Director of West Africa ICT Action Network ( LIBERIA). “We believe that through collaboration and collective action, we can overcome the digital divide and ensure that all Liberians can benefit from the opportunities that digital technology offers.”
