Total Dominance As Tempane Senior High School Sweeps Eastern Zone-Group B

Host and win was the dream as Tempane Senior High School hosted Eastern Zone Group B in Tempane on the 23rd and 24th June 2023 to get two teams from each game who will be representing the zone in the Super-Zonals in Navrongo. Games competed for were soccer, handball, netball, and volleyball. Schools were at liberty to choose what to participate in because the medal system consider only the number of medals won and not the accumulation of points. In this system, a gold medal is worth more than any number of silver, while a silver too supersedes bronze.

COMPOSITION
Football, the heart of world sports was where many expected fierce competition, with Tempane Senior High, Zebilla Senior High Technical, Garu Community Day Senior High, and Pusiga Community Day Senior High all armed with gallant stars to light up the tournament. The Eastern Zone was divided into two groups of four schools each, with the first and second teams in every competed game in the tournament qualifying to represent the zone in the super-zonal in Navrongo Senior High School in October.

THE BATTLE FOR SUPREMACY

The pre-tournament favorites were Temsec and Zebstec. However, Temsec came out dominant in every aspect. They won gold in volleyball, beating Gasec in both boys and girls finals, gold in netball after flooring mighty Zebstec, and gold in both handball boys and girls after a triumphant display of insane quality and ascendancy, defeating their neighbors Gasec in the process. In football games, single-round robbing was the procedure used. Tempane had two things in mind.

1. Winning the tournament
2. Not losing to Zebilla SHTS
This was because Zebilla came out conquering in their two pre-tournament friendly encounters both home and away. After the soccer boys won their first two matches, they had to battle with Zebilla who also won their matches for who will be champions. After a goalless 90 minutes full of delectable displays of talentedness and flamboyant football, a penalty shoot-out saw Zebilla emerging victorious. However, the Temsecan girl's football team matched on with resilience to settle the scores for their male brethren. They lost their first match against Zebilla on Penalties after a 1-1 draw but still refused not to believe. This bouncebackability attitude paid off as they were able to beat Gasec(2-1) and Pusiga(3-0) to win the competition. Joy was finally here as the host school went wild in celebration. Though there was a lot to celebrate already, this victory still meant a lot to them. A complete display of proper preparation, top top-quality, and a true definition of total dominance. Tempane Senior High School has made this year's Eastern Zone Group B games their own, winning all gold except Soccer Boys. All in all, Tempane and Zebilla will represent the zone in football boys and girls and netball, whilst Tempane and Gasec represent the zone in volleyball and handball (boys and girls).

Kudos to the Headmaster of Temsec, who is himself a renowned sportsman for helping the preparation process, and to all coaches and tutors of the school, and the community for the conducive atmosphere. Congratulations to all participants!
