Hon. Abdul Rahman Abdulai, the Assembly man for Akyem Osiem Ahenbronum electoral area in the Abuakwa North municipality of the Eastern Region of Ghana has expressed joy as finally one of his prioritized projects as an Assembly man is seeing the light of day.
The current state of the Islamic J.H. S classroom block has been a headache to the community in Osiem. Pupil are asked to go home whenever it's about to rain due to the deprived state of the classroom.
In an interview with Hon. Abdul Rahman Abdulai, he thanked the Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) called Africa Relief and Community Development seeking for help and support for the construction of a classroom block for the pupil.
"They are not only giving us as a three modernistic unit classroom block but also a water project, a mosque for pupil and a toilet facility for the school and I thank Africa Relief for these megaprojects," he stated.
Parent of the pupils thanked Hon Abdul and his friend Musa for the great work. They also extended their gratitude to Africa Relief and Community Development for thinking about the children of osiem Islamic J.H.S.
Speaking with the site and project supervisor, Mr. Ibrahim Adam explained that the project, which has started on Saturday 22nd April, 2023, will be completed in about four to five months.
The Chief Imam of Akyem Osiem Gibril Maazu led members from the Osiem Zongo community, including Zongo chiefs, imams, P.T.A chair for the school Abdulai Sulemana among others to observe an Islamic prayer at the project site as work begins.
