Even though many of the NPP politicians were against the approval of the controversial fraudulent E-Levy, they never identified themselves, just to prevent being called traitors, while others think they have to defend the president, Nana Akufo Addo.
One of them is Ken Agyapong, the Member of Parliament for Assin Central, who appeared in one of the videos on Youtube, explaining why the E-Levy must be approved but his unreasonable explanation that justifies the need for the E-Levy to be passed prompted this article.
According to Ken Agyapong, “Ghanaians are willing to pay GHc2 to MTN against Ghc1.50 For Our Development.” I don’t know what development he is talking about because if he does care, he should be the first person to ask Akufo Addo why he has cut so many sods yet no projects available.

Kennedy Agyapong, the Member of Parliament for Assin Central, has disappointed Ghanaians with his failure to fight against corruption but rather by supporting the thievery of the NPP government.
Again, if Ken Agyapong cares about development, why couldn’t he demand accountability from the Ghanaian president for the reason his government has incurred such a huge debt on Ghana, yet the country is at the same place.
More importantly, the common Ghanaians Agyapong is criticizing paying GHc2 to the MTN but are not willing to pay GHc1,50, how many of their children are receiving education in America or any foreign country? Has any of the poor people appeared on TV to tell Ghanaians the cost of a wristwatch as he did?
Even if Ghanaians are willing to pay GHc3 to MTN, it is worth doing so because technology has made it possible for them to remit and communicate with their families where ever they are in Ghana, without traveling on these hazardous roads to give them money.
Sometimes, I hate people who aren’t reasonable. As a Member of Parliament, you have boasted enough of your riches on air, yet I strongly believe that most of the people at Assin Central are finding things extremely difficult, therefore, many will not be interested in the E-Levy.
Without politics, Ken Agyapong, you would have been like the common Ghanaian. 335 million dollars is a lot of money that can develop Ghana. That part of the COVID funds given by the World Bank has disappeared without a trace, why don’t you make effort to trace that missing money?
Above all, why should the incompetence of your government become the common Ghanaians’ burden by imposing a fraudulent E-Levy on them? In Ghana, Ken Agyapong, you have broken the law many times with impunity, if it’s any of the poor people, they should have been in prison by now.
Therefore, Agyapong, if it’s hard for you to accept that for over five years in power, your government has failed in everything, including, the fight against corruption, cutting taxation, job creation, and turning Ghana into Dubai, don’t be so proud to support the thievery of an incompetent government.
Ken Agyapong, if Ghana is not a corrupt country together with its judiciary system, people like you, Akufo Addo, Ken Ofori-Atta, Eugene Arhin, Kwasi Anin-Yeboah, Paul Adom-Otchere, and a host of many others, should have resigned or in prison, for breaking the law with impunity.
How I wish you, Kwasi-Anin Yeboah, Akufo Addo, etc; would learn something important from what the security analyst said. According to Kan Dapaah, “If the interpretation of the law is tilted in our favor all the time, people will start accusing the judiciary and will not have the confidence that they need.”
He is right, a word to the wise is enough.
