Dr. Robert Baba Kuganab-lem, the incumbent Member of Parliament for Binduri constituency has vowed to retain the seat as he seek his second term bid.

It was only Mr. fortunate Atubiga of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) who won the seat for two terms.

The Binduri constituency has never had an MP whether from the National Democratic Congress NDC, the New Patriotic Party NPP or any other party winning the second term bid.

Binduri constituency has been one of the strongholds of the NDC for the presidential but swings every one term in the parliamentary race.

Mr. Fortunate Atubiga of NDC represented the people of Binduri from 1992 to 2000, Achidago B. Akugri of NDC took over from 2000 to 2004.

Mark Anthony Awuni on the ticket of the NDC won 2004 to 2008, Stephen Yakubu of New Patriotic Party won the seat for the first time from 2008 to 2012 whiles Ben Noah Azure of the National Democratic Congress won back the seat from 2012-2016 and now Dr. Robert baba Kuganab-lem 2016 till date.

With this, Dr. Kuganab-lem says he is poised in winning the seat for the 2nd term for the NDC to break the jinx. He however called on the electorate in the constituency not to relax but rather work extra hard for victory of the party.

Dr. Robert Baba Kuganab-lem was addressing the newly inaugurated campaign team members of the NDC at a ceremony at Binduri.

He challenged the branch executives to work very hard to win all their branches massively. He indicated that the “Operation Win Your Branch” is the benchmark that can be used to assess the effectiveness of the branch executives and the branch campaign team.

He reiterated that the hard work, sacrifices, and commitment of the members of the NDC in the Binduri constituency will surely bring victory for both the parliamentary and presidential elections.
