I. Son of Man, Take That Step Again
Today, through the power of the Holy Ghost, I encourage you to take that step again. Yes, you are afraid because you slipped yesterday and fell down, but today I tell you that, like a mother helping a child take that crucial first step in life, God is beside you once again to assist you in regaining your strength and taking that critical step again.
Do not worry, for there comes a moment in every life when human strength runs out. When doctors say, “We’ve done all we can.” Friends may say, “I don’t know what to tell you.” When your bank account is empty, yet mountains of bills remain. Or that crucial moment when your heart says, “I’m tired.”
Today, the word for you is this: when human help ends, God's help begins.
Take that step toward God. Lift your eyes and seek the One who never fails. When that moment comes, it is a holy moment. It is the moment God wants you to do one thing: SEEK DIVINE HELP.
The Psalmist tells us that during such a moment, he did one thing. In Psalm 121:1-2, he lifted up his eyes to the mountains and asked: Where does my help come from? His help came from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.
Brother, today I encourage you to take that step. Lift up your eyes to THE SOLID ROCK for help.
II. Daughter of Zion, Seek Divine Help Daily
In this world of uncertainties, we need divine help daily.
Psalm 60:11 tells us that God will “give us aid against the enemy, for human help is worthless.” Jeremiah 17:5 also reminds us that “cursed is the one who trusts in man, who draws strength from mere flesh.”
We must understand that humans have limitations, but divine help is limitless. God works 24/7. Psalm 121:4 stresses that “Indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.”
Sister, seeking divine help is not weakness; it is wisdom.
In 2 Chronicles 20:12, when King Jehoshaphat faced three armies, he prayed: “We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on you.” That is the posture of seeking divine help.
There comes a moment when you do not know what to do. That is the time to fix your eyes on the Lord. There comes a moment when challenges confront you from every angle. That is the opportunity to seek divine help.
God’s help is not far away. It is near to those who call on Him.
Call on Him today. Seek His help today.
TAKE THAT STEP AGAIN.
III. My Dear Brothers, Approach the Throne of Grace
Hebrews 4:16 tells us:
“Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.”
Notice the emphasis on three things:
- We must approach. Do not stay far away.
- We need mercy.
- We need grace to move forward.
At that moment, we need grace to sustain us.
Are you on a sickbed?
Psalm 107:20 is for you:
“He sent out his word and healed them; he rescued them from the grave.”
Claim your portion in the Lord. God’s Word carries help. When you are sick, His Word is medicine.
Are you confused?
John 14:26 reassures us:
“The Advocate, the Holy Spirit... will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.”
Depend on the Holy Spirit to help you. Do not forget that the Holy Spirit is called the Helper in John 14:16.
When you cannot pray, He helps you pray (Romans 8:26).
Brother, seeking divine help is not just for emergencies. It is for every day. God never gets tired of helping.
Ask God for wisdom, ideas, and favour, as encouraged in James 1:5:
“If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God.”
Take that step again.
IV. My Beloved Sisters, Keep Asking, Seeking and Knocking
Matthew 7:7 encourages us:
“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.”
It is taking that step of faith.
Do not say you have asked and still have no answer. Do not get tired of seeking, and do not give up on knocking. Do it again. Nevertheless, at His word, cast that net again.
Jacob wrestled and declared:
“I will not let you go unless you bless me.” (Genesis 32:26)
Let us come to that point where we can wrestle with God through prayer.
Sister, at that moment, pray and continue to pray for divine help. Seek Scriptures to support your prayers. If God said it, He will do it. Numbers 23:19 assures us of that truth.
Consider these biblical examples of those who took that step and received divine help:
Moses at the Red Sea: There was no way forward, and Pharaoh's army was behind him. Yet in Exodus 14:13-14, Moses boldly declared:
“Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring.”
Hezekiah with a death sentence: He took that step. Isaiah 38:2 tells us that he turned his face to the wall and prayed. God added 15 more years to his life.
Peter sinking in the water: Matthew 14:30 records his cry:
“Lord, save me!”
And there was immediate help.Jesus in Gethsemane: Luke 22:43 tells us:
“An angel from heaven appeared to him and strengthened him.”
Remember, this is a DIVINE NEW DAY PROPHETIC WORD of encouragement sent forth through the authority and power of Christ Jesus and delivered to the brethren through God's Vessel, Francis Ameyibor.
Yes! If God helped them, He will help you.
Take that step today.
V. 2026 IS OUR YEAR AND SEASON TO BE LIFTED UP
Today, whatever “it” is for you:
- The medical report.
- The broken marriage.
- The job situation.
- The child who has gone astray.
- The depression.
- The unanswered questions.
Look up and SEEK DIVINE HELP.
Your help is not in man. Your help is not in your circumstances. Your help is not in your limitations.
Your help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.
Take that step again.
Pray again.
Believe again.
Trust again.
Hope again.
Seek divine help again.
For when human help fails, God's help prevails.
PRAYER
Father, we admit that we cannot do this without You. We need Your help in our homes, in our marriages, in our work, and in our minds.
We come to Your throne of grace now. Give us mercy for our failures and grace for our needs.
Strengthen the weary.
Heal the broken.
Provide for the needy.
Restore the discouraged.
Lift up those who are falling.
And let us never forget that our help comes from You, the Maker of heaven and earth.
In Jesus Christ's mighty name, Amen.
