Are you a very dry bone?

I. MY BELOVED SISTER, peace be unto you. Don’t take prophetic declarations granted. As we reflect on the dry bone syndrome, I encourage you to undertake self-examination and answer the question, "" As Ezekiel Chapter 37 confronts us with a valley full of bones that had been dead so long they were "very dry". That valley isn't just an ancient vision. It is the spiritual condition of anyone cut off from the life of God. You might have read that chapter several times, and you can even quote from verse one to the end, but today I encourage you to situate yourself in the midst of the prophetic encounter. The prophet Ezekiel saw a field of scattered, lifeless bones with no breath in them. God asked, "Can these bones live?" The answer depends on whether the breath of God enters again. A person not born again is already in that valley. Scripture says we were "dead in trespasses and sins" until Christ made us alive. Without a new birth, there is no Spirit, no life, only dryness.

II. MY DEAR BROTHER, Today I also bring to your attention that a backslider returns to that valley. When you taste the life of God and then turn away, the heart hardens and the passion fades. The Bible calls it falling away. You don’t become a new sinner in the world. You become a very dry bone in the valley. The same bones, but now with the memory of what breath once felt like and the pain of losing it. When things of God no longer appeal to you, that is a very dry bone syndrome. The fire is gone. Prayer feels like duty. Worship feels empty. The word feels boring. Revelation has stopped. As a church, no growth means a valley of very dry bones. Mid-week services are empty. Beloved, if the focus shifts from souls to structures, from worship to wealth, from ministry to money, then we are gathering bones, not birthing sons and daughters in the Lord. Are you a very dry bone church? Jesus Christ warned the church at Laodicea: "You say I am rich... but you do not realise that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked." Prosperity without presence is a valley of very dry bones.

III. DAUGHTER OF ZION, when money and status become paramount and soul-winning becomes secondary, we are in the valley of a very dry bone. When the first love is abandoned. When activity replaces anointing. When we organise more and pray less. When the bones rattle with programmes but there is no breath. Are we still standing in faith? Are you being a very dry bone? The very dry bone syndrome is widespread because it is subtle. You could become a very dry bone without accepting it. But it’s not what you accept, but how God sees you. Acceptance of reality will bring rapid healing and restoration. Remember that the very dry bone state doesn’t always look like rebellion. As sometimes it looks like religion without a relationship. Sister, if you are at the juncture where there is no hunger for the word, no burden for the lost, no sensitivity to the spirit, and no power in service, ask yourself whether you are in the valley of the very dry bones or not. Remember, Christ wept over Jerusalem. Dry bones don’t weep.

IV. SON OF MAN, remember that Ezekiel didn’t rearrange the bones. He prophesied. And breath entered. "So I prophesied as I was commanded. And as I prophesied, there was a noise, a rattling." The Word is the instrument God uses to bring life. The bones came together at the sound of God’s voice. You cannot revive yourself with motivation. You need the living Word. “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.” For the backslider, the path is not new techniques but a new turning point. "Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent, and do the works you did at first." Confess the dryness. Don’t cover it with religious activity. God said, "I will put my Spirit within you, and you shall live." The breath is the Holy Spirit. Jesus breathed on His disciples and said, "Receive the Holy Spirit". This is a DIVINE NEW DAY PROPHETIC WORD of encouragement sent forth through the authority and power of Christ Jesus and served to the brethren through God's Vessel Francis Ameyibor. Yes! You are born again when the Spirit enters you. You are revived when you are filled again.

V. 2026 IS OUR YEAR AND SEASON TO BE LIFTED UP—Ezekiel spoke to the breath, not just the bones: "Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe on these slain." We must declare life over our families, our church, and our ministry. Faith speaks what God has promised until what is dead begins to stand as "an exceedingly great army".

PRAYER: Lord, breathe on me again. Breathe on our church again. Let there be a rattling, a coming together, and a standing up of an army for Your glory.

Breathe on me now. LORD, what was dead in me, let it live again. In Jesus Christ’s name. Amen.
