Kumawood actor Mr. Beautiful has explained why he stopped answering calls from veteran actress Adjoa Pee following a disagreement over assistance he helped secure for her medical bills.
According to Mr. Beautiful, he deliberately stopped responding to Adjoa Pee’s calls after she allegedly made several requests that he said were beyond the capacity of the individual who had offered to assist her.
Speaking to Bra Emma Studios, the actor said Adjoa Pee requested a house, a car, and a scholarship for her son to study abroad after he had helped secure support for her medical expenses.
Mr. Beautiful said the person providing the assistance through him was not a real estate developer, a car dealer, or an employee of the Scholarship Secretariat.
He therefore questioned how he was expected to fulfil the additional requests.
He explained that his decision not to answer her calls was not because he had taken money from her medical support, as she had allegedly claimed, but because he could not provide the extra assistance she was demanding.
“Yes, it is true I don’t answer Adjoa Pee’s calls,” Mr. Beautiful said, explaining that she had told him other veterans had been given houses and that she also wanted one.
He added that she also wanted a car and a scholarship for her son to study abroad.
The actor’s comments come amid a dispute over GH¢2,000 that Adjoa Pee claims was sent through him in 2022 to assist with her medical bills.
Adjoa Pee has alleged that Mr. Beautiful took part of the money to cover transportation expenses. Mr. Beautiful has denied the allegation and maintained that he delivered the full GH¢2,000 to her.
