Singer Iona Reine has confirmed that her marriage to Pastor Nana Kwame Okrah has ended, but insists she remains fully open to love — and to marriage.
Iona, who tied the knot with the pastor in January 2024, revealed that although the union lasted two years, it ultimately came to an end. Speaking to Nana Romeo on Okay FM, she made it clear that she has not given up on finding the right partner.
“I will marry again, and in fact, I will marry as many — even if it means marrying 10 times to find the right man,” she said.
She explained that her experience has taught her that there is no guaranteed formula for a lasting marriage. Even couples who spend years together, pray and thoroughly study each other before tying the knot can still end up divorcing.
Iona declined to reveal the specific reasons behind the collapse of her marriage, describing the matter as private.
She also disclosed that she continues to wear her wedding ring — not as a symbol of the relationship, but as a shield against unwanted advances.
“I'm still wearing my ring to protect me from certain scorpions so that when they see me in town, they won't bother to approach me,” she said.
Despite the setback, Iona’s outlook remains bold, unapologetic and hopeful — determined to find love on her own terms.
