Ghanaian highlife musician and dancer Slim Buster has named rapper Tic Tac as the artiste he enjoyed working with most during his career.

According to Slim Buster, Tic Tac's determination and stubbornness made their creative partnership interesting and productive.

He said he enjoyed working with artistes who were willing to push themselves to get the best results.

“I would say it was Tic Tac because he's a stubborn boy, and I love people like that to work with,” Slim Buster said.

He recalled their work on the popular song 'Masan Aba', revealing that Tic Tac had to record his rap more than 50 times before Slim Buster was satisfied.

“When we were doing Masan Aba, we did that rap over 50 times. Because what I was looking for, I couldn't get. He got so angry with me,” he recalled.

Slim Buster explained that he was only demanding repeated takes because he knew exactly how he wanted the song to sound.

“I'm the producer and I know what I'm looking for. Once I get that rap, straight away,” he said.

Despite the frustration during the recording session, Tic Tac eventually delivered the performance Slim Buster wanted.

“So the very last one he did was top-notch, and I was like, 'This is what I was looking for,'” he added.

Slim Buster said the experience reflected the level of commitment he expected when producing his music, noting that he was involved in writing, composing, recording and producing his own songs.
