Founder and Creative Director of Comme Lab, Dennis Temituro, says his creative philosophy has always been anchored in one conviction: “I photograph legacy, not just looks.”
According to him, that belief took years to articulate — and even longer to embody consistently while working with high‑profile personalities across the continent.
“My goal is to maintain a signature visual language that can adapt to a brief without losing its identity. When someone looks at my work, I want them to feel something specific — a weight, a presence, a sense that the moment mattered — before they ever read my name,” he said.
Dennis explained that one of the steepest learning curves in celebrity photography is managing expectations at the highest level.
“In celebrity photography, you are not just taking pictures. You are protecting brands, reputations, and moments that will not come twice. But the challenge I underestimated early on was perception,” he noted.
Asked how he handles uncooperative celebrities or last‑minute cancellations, Dennis said professionalism and emotional discipline are essential.
“I’ve learned not to take it personally. Celebrities are human. Their schedules shift, their energy shifts, and sometimes the situations are entirely beyond their control.
“Energy is contagious — if I’m anxious, the subject feels it. For cancellations, I operate with a contingency mindset. Flexibility isn’t just a soft skill in this industry — it is survival. I use that recovered time to refine concepts, deepen relationships, or push into creative work that the schedule never usually allows,” he added.
Dennis Temituro is an internationally recognised photographer, multimedia artist and Founder/Creative Director of Comme Lab, specialising in photography, branding, cinematography and visual content production.
His work has been featured on BBC, CNN, TV3 Ghana, and GBC, and he has documented major cultural and entertainment moments including Ace Liam’s Guinness World Records attempt, Afua Asantewaa’s singathon, Rhythms of Africa, and Awake Experience.
He also serves as the personal photographer of Dr. Sonnie Badu across Ghana and Africa, and has worked with leading gospel artistes such as Diana Hamilton, Moses Bliss, and Joe Mettle.
Beyond his creative career, Dennis is passionate about empowering young people. As Co‑Founder of Revive Minds, he equips underprivileged youth with practical skills in photography and digital media. He has also collaborated with institutions and brands including G3 Africa, Barry Callebaut, Alisa Hotel Tema, ADD International, and ECrime Bureau.
Dennis Temituro stands today as one of Africa’s leading visual storytellers — a creative force whose work blends artistic excellence, cultural documentation, international recognition and social impact.
