'I won’t stop doing gospel music for $1 million' — Mena Srekubea

Ghanaian gospel minister Mena Srekubea has made her commitment to spreading the Word of God clear, saying she would not quit gospel music even if offered $1 million.

The gospel singer made the statement during an interview with DJ Qwequ of Ahomka FM 99.5 in Elmina last Saturday monitored by Assin Talks. She was asked whether she would stop doing music for two years in exchange for $1 million.

Mena Srekubea’s response was simple and firm: she would never accept money in exchange for stopping the spread of God’s Word.

According to the gospel singer, the songs she sings are inspired and sent directly to her by God. She believes that abandoning gospel music would mean refusing the assignment God has given her.

For Mena, gospel music is therefore more than a career. It is a divine calling and responsibility she is determined to fulfil.
