A fire outbreak has been reported at a dormitory of the Gushegu Nursing and Midwifery Training College in the Northern Region.
The incident reportedly came to public attention after a student posted a video on TikTok showing the dormitory engulfed in flames and appealing for urgent assistance.
Personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) stationed at Yendi were subsequently deployed to the school and managed to bring the fire under control, according to information available to Class News.
The extent of damage caused by the fire remains unclear, while it has not yet been confirmed whether any students or staff sustained injuries or were otherwise affected.
Authorities are expected to assess the damage and establish the cause of the outbreak.
