Choirmaster Returns to Ghana Ahead of Late Wife Beverly Afaglo’s State House Funeral

Musician Choirmaster has arrived in Ghana ahead of the funeral of his late wife, actress Beverly Afaglo, scheduled for Saturday, August 8, 2026, at the State House.

The funeral service will commence at 7:00 a.m., followed by a private burial. A thanksgiving service will be held the next day, Sunday, August 9, at Action Chapel International, beginning at 9:00 a.m.

Choirmaster touched down at the Accra International Airport on July 28, where he was met by friends and colleagues, including Praye Tiatia and rapper Dr Cryme, who offered him words of comfort during this difficult period.

Videos of his arrival, now circulating on social media, captured the musician visibly emotional as he reunited with close associates.

Beverly Afaglo passed away on May 24, 2026, at age 42—just four days shy of her 43rd birthday. Her death sent shockwaves through Ghana’s entertainment industry as family, friends and fans prepare to bid her a final farewell.
