The township of Zebilla burst into life on Thursday night as music, culture, and peace advocacy took center stage during the highly anticipated “1North People Peace Concert,” organised by The Young Patriots under the auspices of the Presidency.
Held at the Zebilla Primary School Park, the event drew hundreds of music lovers, youth groups, traditional leaders, and residents from across Kusaug and neighbouring communities. The concert brought together some of Northern Ghana’s most celebrated musicians in a powerful call for unity, peaceful coexistence, and regional development.
The star‑studded lineup featured Blakk Rasta, Abu Sadic, Blakka Tee, Preachaman, FlameBoy, Alapta Wan, and several other performers who thrilled the crowd with electrifying performances and uplifting messages centred on peace and togetherness.
The atmosphere was charged with renewed hope as artists used their platforms to urge young people to reject violence and embrace unity beyond ethnic or political lines. Many attendees described the event as one of the biggest entertainment and peace‑building gatherings ever hosted in Zebilla.
Addressing the audience, Blakk Rasta stressed that the initiative goes beyond entertainment, highlighting its role in fostering social cohesion and promoting a peaceful Northern Ghana where young people can flourish.
Following the successful Zebilla edition, organisers announced that the next “1North People Peace Concert” will be held in Nalerigu on May 30, 2026, with expectations of another massive turnout.
The peace‑concert campaign is also set to expand to other major northern towns, including Bolgatanga, Yendi, and additional communities, as part of a broader effort to unite the people of Northern Ghana through music, culture, and dialogue.
Organisers say their long‑term vision is to build a lasting movement that uses entertainment as a tool for peacebuilding, youth empowerment, and regional integration across the north.
