Ogunskele, a member of Ghanaian music group 2TOFF, has said musicians who smoke cannabis tend to write deeper lyrics compared to those who consume alcohol.
Speaking in an interview with Kumi Kasa on Showbiz Max on Max 89.7FM, the artiste explained that alcohol negatively affects the brain, creativity and clarity when composing music.
According to him, musicians who drink before writing are likely to produce shallow or less meaningful songs.
He further indicated that smoking “wee” enhances creative thinking and opens the mind to deeper ideas. In his view, cannabis helps musicians think beyond the ordinary and develop more thoughtful and reflective lyrics.
Ogunskele made these remarks while sharing his perspective on creative processes in music and how different influences can impact songwriting.
