Musician, S3fa says she was deeply hurt after a social media user described her as “beautiful but brainless” and accused her of lacking talent.
Speaking in an interview on Hitz FM, the “E Choke” hitmaker recalled how the comment questioned both her intelligence and her worth as an artist.
“One thing that really broke me was one time when I went on Twitter. Somebody was like, 'I feel like D-Black is wasting his money on S3fa. She's talentless, a nice girl but just brainless,” she recounted.
The singer said what made the remark more painful was the suggestion that her label boss, D-Black, was wasting his money on her.
“In my mind, I'm like, you don't know what goes on behind the scenes. You don't know how much work I put in or how much investment I've made. To sit on social media and say I am just beautiful without brains, it was very disturbing,” she said.
S3fa explained that being judged only on her looks ignored the effort and sacrifices she has made in her career.
Despite the criticism, she said the experience motivated her to work harder and prove herself.
Today, S3fa is considered one of the notable female voices in Ghana's contemporary music scene.
