NOV 7, 2015 LISTEN

Great plays like the GODS ARE NOT TO BLAME, THINGS FALL APART, DILEMMA OF A GHOST and many more have been successful and still inspiring. Another one to break grounds is Atsu Adaletey’s ‘YOLKLESS EGG’

The play has been in incubation since 2002 and having been tested thrice, come Sunday, 8th November, 2015, it’s going to stand another test before great minds at the W.E.B. Du Bois Centre near the American Embassy in Accra, Ghana at 6:00pm prompt.

Motivated by the resourceful and generous veteran author, James Gibbs (London), the playwright was inspired to pitch his story. It pays to wait but once one invests solely in good content, the result can only be mind-blowing.

YOLKLESS EGG has attracted local and international authors and veteran actors like Emmanuel France (Nollywood and international actor), Ghana’s David Dontoh, Kwame Gadago, Prof. Kolawole Raheem, Dr. Mrs. Shine Ofori and other great minds.

The Nollywood and international actor, Emmanuel France who has endorsed this production has acknowledged that it’s a “wonderful play! It brought me back to those days when stage was it! I’m so impressed about the content; this will go places.”

The story has been analyzed; an engaging beginning with a puzzling ending; an infusion of dramatic action, dance, music, spoken word and puppetry.

Missing the prologue would be a disaster because you’d have nothing worthy to go home with so folks, join us make history; outdooring another masterpiece to the globe, a total theatre with traces from Greek theatre and enveloping it all with the energetic spirit of Africa. The drums will roll.

Tickets to the premiere costs GH₵40, GH₵20, GH₵10 for VIP, regular and students (with ID card) respectively.

This production is brought to you by PROeye in collaboration with the Bright Future Arts Foundation (Ghana-USA).
