Vanessa Gyan, the only daughter of the late Kiki Gyan of legendary group Osibisa, has said her love for the industry is what brought her back to Ghana, after literally growing up and schooling outside the country.
After studying abroad and acquiring a degree in TV/Radio Communications and Public Relations, Vanessa moved back to Ghana in 2013 and since then, has rapidly become a household name. Her exciting career began when she became part of the Global Media Alliance just one month after returning to Ghana.
Vanessa can now add Radio Presenter to her résumé, as she just launched ‘Yired’ alongside Nana-Sentuo Bonsu. The programme, which connects fans to their favourite celebrities, airs every Saturday at 1pm on YFm.
She began as a producer of 'E-On-E' on which she occasionally sat in as host and from there, she’s been unstoppable.
After hosting 'Celebrity Samba' during the World Cup, she now co-hosts The Late Night Celebrity Show. She also boasts of a self-produced women empowerment show, Vanessa Gyan.
She has been named the Female Brand Ambassador for the international shoe brand Crocs and that alone is an unparalleled feat. Vanessa Gyan is hitting the market from all angles. According to reports, she is set to star in the Juliet Ibrahim-produced television series, Every Woman Has A Story.
'Keeping my father’s legacy alive in a positive way is my ultimate goal and I get to do it while waking up each and every day living my dreams by doing what I genuinely love,' she said
