
It's on this Saturday at 9am at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel as aspiring singers from Accra audition for Season 3 of Vodafone Icons, the Street Edition. Aspiring musicians can 'pop up' and join the race to winning the biggest prize package ever in the history of talent reality shows in Ghana; a GH 250,000 package which includes a brand new KIA Sportage, fantastic Samsung products and an awesome recording contract with the World's biggest record label, Universal records. Artiste signed on to Universal records include Mariah Carey, Rick Ross, Justin Bieber, Kelly Rowland, Black Eyed Peas and several others.
Auditions have already taken place in Kumasi, Koforidua and Swedru and over 40 contestants including a taxi driver in Takoradi; have made it to the next round of the competition.
Contestants can also audition online by uploading recorded a video of themselves on the Vodafone Ghana Facebook page. They could also record their performance in AVI or WMV format and upload it on Youtube and then put the link on Vodafone Ghana's Facebook page. All video recordings should not be more than 2 minutes or 120 seconds.
Successful online audition applicants will be invited to perform before seasoned judges, and if selected, will attend the thrilling ICONS boot camp where they will be coached by the judges and other professional choreographers.
It is open to all between the ages of 18-30 and is not a group competition so allows for individuals to show their talents.
Vodafone Icons in previous seasons discovered amazing talents such as RnM and Black & Peach who were provided with a wide platform to live their dreams.
