Multichoice Ghana has unveiled two of Ghana's celebrities, Lydia Forson and DJ Black as its ambassadors to promote its brand.
The two celebrities were unveiled at the launch of the Big Brother Africa held at the Villa Monticello Hotel in Accra.
Lydia Forson, one of Ghana's finest actresses and DJ Black, an established Disc Jockey, have a group of social media followers of approximately 35,000 each.
Their functions will include promoting DStv and GOtv content which will include service and product information, new programmes and channels, sales promotions and online competitions. Lydia Forson & DJ Black were chosen as ambassadors because of their ability to express their opinions and command a crowd.
In this context, Multichoice Ghana felt that these two would be appropriate to represent their brand on social media platforms.
Lydia and DJ Black expressed their delight to be part of the Multichoice Ghana family and said they are looking forward to interacting with the many DStv social media fans as well as pushing the various brands to their own fans. They have various competitions coming up in the year ahead which will give the fans a chance to win DStv Walkas.
Multichoice Ghana social media executive, Sharmaine Oddoye commented: 'We are at an age where social media and brand image are irrevocably linked and in social business, the most loyal fans aren't just supporting brands, they define a brand and we recognize that the fans now have a global voice and a platform to share their interests, product ideas and feedback.
It is therefore very important for us to pay attention to what customers are saying about our brand and to do so we will use our social media brand ambassadors who are highly influential on social media to disseminate information and to receive feedback.'
