UKelly stated in a phone interview from Abuja, 'I really wanna be concerned about things happening in my state now, we have heard a lot about the children and witchcraft accusations, so female artistes should step in as mothers and mothers to be, more so, the issue of child hunger is alarming, as parents can't cater enough for their children, they need support from those that are well to do in the society, and I feel I can share the little I have, and also play my music for them too'

In a statement by her management, The Children Breakfast Party will hold by 9am at the Akwa Ibom State Special Children Centre, Ibb Avenue, Uyo, on May 27th 2013, UKelly is confirmed to join concerned individuals and NGOs the world over in the fight against child hunger, and she is inviting top musicians and nollywood personalities to come join her cheer the children up. This is her management's initiative to contribute to the development of the state and her immediate society, as they say, charity begins at home, and the gesture will be extended to other places God's grace can take us to, Nelson added.
