Ghana, Accra, 16th October 2012: Last weekend saw three personalities and a sports programme from Global Media Alliance Broadcasting Company, a subsidiary of Global Media Broadcast Company, awarded together with several other media personalities at this year's edition of the Radio and TV Personality Awards held at the Accra International Conference Centre last Saturday.
Presenter of Y Lounge, Jeremie Van-Garshong was awarded the Radio Female Presenter of the Year while presenter of Y FM's Myd Morning Show was adjudged the Best Myd Morning Show Host of the Year. DJ Champagne received the Radio DJ of the Year and Happy Sports took Radio Sports Programme of the Year for their excellence in their fields over the year.
The annual awards aims at recognizing and rewarding seasoned Radio and TV personalities in the country who have contributed immensely towards the development of the industry and it was under the theme 'Media for Peace for Election 2012'.
Head of Public Relations at Global Media Alliance, Rosemond Aryeetey remarked that 'we are particularly happy for the awardees and all the production team whose hard work and efforts have resulted in this great achievement. We are dedicating these awards to our numerous listeners who spend time listening and contributing to the programme. They could not have come this far without them. We also congratulate the team and the individual presenters for bringing their respective programmes this far'.
