This year's Ghana Meets Naija showdown slated for June 3 at the Dome of the Accra International Conference Centre is set to break the records as a memorable event on the country's entertainment calendar.
Comparing last year's event to preparations so far, for this year's, Empire Entertainment, the event organizers, say this year's event will by far be the best.
The Republic Day eve holds close to its heart an impressive list of some of Ghana and Nigeria's biggest musical acts who have promised to ignite the two country's fierce rivalry to the delight of the hundreds who will fill the Dome.
African hip-hop heavyweight, MI, Brymo of Ara fame, Davido who is yet to perform his hit club banger Dami Duro on any stage in Ghana, Nigeria's finest female act, Kele Kele singer Tiwa Savage and a host of others make up the Nigerian contingent.
While 2012 Ghana Music Awards Group of the Year winners, 4X4, Kaakie, Guru, R2Bees, King of the Streets Kwaw Kesse, Buk Bak, Keche, Chemphe, Bino, and Sala will hold the fort for Ghana.
Organizers of the concert announced Friday that Nigerian top comedian Julius D' Genius Agwu will team up with radio personality Kofi Okyere Darko (KOD) as anchors for the night while renowned Nigerian comedian Basketmounth will be a special guest.
Julius Agwu and Basketmounth are, without a doubt, two of the world's best comedy giants who have graced several stages with their rib-cracking shows and June 30 will definitely not be an exception.
These two meeting in Ghana on one stage is a clear indication that, the Ghana Meets Naija showdown night will not only be about the music but also a sizzling mixbag of pure entertainment served on one menu.
Empire Entertainment have also hinted that as the days inche closer to the history making night, a lot more surprises will be announced.
The inclusion of Julius Agwu and Basketmounth, they said, is just a pinch of the night's package so patrons should expect more.
