Charter House, organisers of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA), has presented the winners of this year's edition of the awards their prizes at a ceremony held at the headquarters of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) in Accra.
Each winner, apart from the plaque presented to them on April 13, 2011 at the Dome, Accra International Conference Centre, received a cheque for GH¢3000.
Artiste of the Year, Sarkodie took home GH¢10,000 as his prize.
The presentation of prizes to the winners brought down the curtain to the 2012 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
Some of the winners who were present to receive their prizes included Stay Jay, who won Best New Artiste of the Year, Blakk Rasta, who won Reggae Song of the Year, Appietus, Producer of the Year, representatives of Sarkodie, and Gifty Osei, who was crowned Gospel Artiste of the Year and winner of Gospel Album of the Year.
