Edem, who is often referred as the fastest “Mouth from the Volta” is currently rocking the people of Togo with his lyrics and usual great performances on stage.
Edem, a household name in Togo in an exclusive interview, said, Ghana is surrounded by Francophone countries and there was the need to sell the Ghanaian music to the people there in order for them to appreciate what abounds in Ghana. He explained that, he is also in Togo as a first step of marketing his music to other West African countries.
It is also to let his fans from that part of the sub-region know of his second album dubbed, Mass Production. According to him, “…is a transition for me being an artiste with a first album and now trying to put music out that will be appealing to everybody that has supported me. Now the album is Mass Production because it is going to be made easily available and affordable to everybody in a sphere of life in the country and beyond.”
It is therefore with great enthusiasm that fans had been looking forward to his 5-day tour of Togo starting from 2nd April, 2012 to Friday, 6th April which promises to be great.
His tour will see him appear on many television programmes as well as radio in that country.
On Friday, he will perform alongside Master Poppa, one of the greatest hip hop artistes of all times in Togo at Parle d'congres with a capacity of 3,500. Edem already has a video with Master Poppa on u-tube.
Edem is expected to be back home in Accra over the weekend to rock shows billed for this year's Easter with other artistes.
