Michael Essien proposes to Nadia Buari

Reports through the wires indicate that Black Stars and Chelsea star, Michael Essien proposed to sexy actress Nadia Buari at a dinner in London Saturday night.

The two celebrities who were once in one of the most publicized relationships parted ways more than a year ago.

This will come as a surprise to many as nothing has been heard of the two concerning a relationship but according to sources, Michael uttered the proverbial words - will you marry me - midway through the dinner.

It is however unclear when the two will be officially tying the knot but sources say in could be in a month or two.

The couple however are yet to agree on the type of wedding – whether Christian or Muslim – since Essien is a Christian and Nadia is a Muslim.

It is reported that they may opt for a 'court signing' and a subsequent crème de la crème dinner to be held in Accra and London on yet to be announced dates.

This, according pundits, will be the biggest wedding to hit Ghana in recent times.
