One of Ghana's enterprising actresses Jackie Appiah, who has made a lot of impact in the Ghanaian movie scene, is said to be working tirelessly to add music to her existing career.

BEATWAVES gathered that the actress, who is likely to try her voice at singing, is capable of making an impact because she has all it takes to become a music star.

Reports available also indicate that Jackie Appiah is busily working on her single in one of the reigning recording studios in the capital which will be released on the music market very soon.

Jakie Appiah, whose professional acting career began when she was cast as Enyonam Blagogee in the TV series 'Things We Do for Love', is seen as one of the rising Ghanaian movie icons who could compete with those on the international music scene.

Clearly, Jackie Appiah has paid her dues to the movie industry and done so successfully. But can she make it in the area of music if indeed the news is true that she is preparing to release a single?

Jackie Appiah is out of town and not available for comment and her handlers have been silent on whether this piece of news is true. However, we'll find out in only a matter of days if indeed Jackie Appiah has done the cross-over and how successful she can be at it.

Appiah is a screen goddess who has done it all and seen it all as far acting both on television and in movies are concerned. Jackie Appiah Agyemang was born on December 5, 1983 in Canada, but moved back to Ghana along with her parents in 1993 and was a runner- up at the Talent Teens Competition. Following her onscreen debut, Jackie went on to create a successful acting career, starring in the smash hit movie 'Beyoncé', alongside prominent Ghanaian actors Van Vicker and Nadia Buari, quickly establishing herself as an A-lister.

Jackie's face has graced many billboards and magazines. She has also cashed in on her A-list status as she has endorsed many products and was the spokesperson for AID/HIV awareness campaign in Ghana.
