
Reinstated Ghana Premier League side, Accra Great Olympics has completed the signing of former Ghana U-20 midfielder Gladson Awako ahead of the anticipated start of the 2019/2020 season.
The Accra-based club has spent the last couple of seasons in the Division One League but have been handed the right to feature in the top-flight in the upcoming season through a decision taken by Congress during the GFA presidential election.
Ahead of the upcoming season, the club is poised to make a good account of themselves and have hence decided to reinforce their current squad.
Modernghana Sports understand that Olympic has secured the signing of Gladson Awako after the midfielder agreed to a two-year deal.
He joins new signing Emmanuel Clottey at the club as they intensify preparations for the start of the new Ghana Premier League season next month.
According to the GFA, the League will commence on December 28, 2019.
Gladson Awako was part of the Black Satellite team that defeated Brazil at the FIFA U-20 World Cup in 2009 to become the first African Country to win gold at the Youth stage.
He has also had stints with TP Mazembe as well as United Soccer League (USL) side, Phoenix Rising.
