Black Stars midfielder, Kwadwo Asamoah helped Juventus to defeat Tottenham Hotspurs 2:1 to progress to the next stage of the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday night.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side blew away a 2-2 advantage in the first leg at the Turin Arena by losing in the reverse fixture at Wembley.

Asamoah came off the bench in the 60th minute to replace French international, Blaise Matuidi.

The former Udinese Calcio playmaker brought some urgency on the pitch with Gonzalo Higuain finding the back of the net in the 63rd minute.

However, Paulo Dybala who missed the first leg match in Turin with an injury scored the needed goal to seal the win for Massimiliano Allegri side.

The victory sees Juventus advance to the quarterfinals for the second successive time.
