Accra, Sept, 15, GNA - Ghana has dropped to the 43rd position from 35th on the latest FIFA world ranking chart released on September 15.
The big drop of the Black Stars was as a result of their failure to beat Rwanda at home and also losing to Russia in an international friendly in Moscow.
The Black Stars also dropped from second to the fifth position behind Cote D'voire in the African ranking, with Algeria placing second and Senegal third.
In the world ranking, Brazil climbed back into the top five for the first time in a long time as South American rivals Argentina and emerging European giants Belgium kept their positions at first and second respectively.
Germany occupies the third position with Colombia and Brazil tied at the fourth position.
Top ten African teams: 1),Cote d'Ivoire, 2) Algeria, 3) Senegal, 4) Tunisia, 5) Ghana, 6) Congo DR, 7) Egypt, 8) Congo, 9)Mali and 10) Morocco.
