Ghana U20 coach Mas-Ud Dramani is dejected his side failed to reach the 2017 African Youth Championship.
The Black Satellites beat Senegal 1-0 in Cape Coast on Friday in the second leg final round qualifier but fell short of overturning the deficit.
Ghana lost 3-1 in the first leg and needed to win by two unanswered goals to seal qualification.
Charles Boateng's first half goal was not enough to put the three-time champions through.
'It is very disappointing. We came in to score as many goals as we can but unfortunately we couldn't. We came in to score more and avoid conceding,' Dramani told the media after the game.
'We did one aspect by not conceding but we couldn't score more than one goal as we expected.
'My players are let down but that is football. We hope for the best in the near future."
