Sorrowful Yusif Basigi dedicates SWAG Coach of the Year Award to late mum

In a sorrowful state, Black Queens head coach Yusif Basigi dedicated his SWAG Coach of Year Award to his late mum Hajia Ajara Issaka who died last month.

The late Haji Ajara died at the age of 98 on the 6^th of May 2016 after a short illness.

And Yusif Basigi has dedicated the award to her for her support in getting him where he is today.

'When we returned from the All Africa Games, I gave her the gold medal which we won. Unfortunately, she died last month,' Basigi said.

'I however dedicate this award to her for the support she offered me tp get me where I am today.'

'It must be a joyful period for me. But the demise of my mum makes it a sad one. I wish she were alive to receive this one too,' he added.

The Hasaacas head coach beat competition from AshGold head coach Bashiru Hayford and Tennis head coach Henry Quansah after winning gold at the All Africa Games with the Queens as well as winning the National Women's League with Hasaacas Ladies.
