John Eshun on 6th April passed away at Kojokrom a suburb of Takoradi, after battling several months of ailment.
He played for the Black Stars from 1965 to 1974 and had the opportunity to captain the senior national team of Ghana.
The former Sekondi Eleven Wise player also captained the African select side that played in 1972 mini-World Cup in Brazil and the Afro Latin-American Games in Mexico.
He enjoyed an impressive coaching career after he managed the Stars, Black Satellites as well as clubs such as Sekondi Hasaacas, Hearts of Oak, Great Olympics and Dragons FC of Benin.
October last year the president of the Ghana Football Association, Kwesi Nyantakyi in the company of two other Emergency Committee members, Mr Kweku Eyiah and the Nanabanyin Eyison.
