Academica has unveilled Ghanaian-born Burkinabe international Nii Adama Plange as their new signing.
The 26-year-old signed a two-year contract with the Portuguese club, ending a two year stint with Vitoria Guimaraes.
He has been handed the number 43 jersey at his new club with the name Maxwell at the back.
Adama Plange made 35 appearances since for Vitoria Guimaraes in 2013, scoring one goal in his two-year stay with the Portuguese club.
The right full-back, born in Accra to Ghanaian parents, holds a Burkinabe passport and has featured thrice for the Stallions in friendly matches.
He has however contacted the Ghana Football Association for a re-switch of his nationality.
Adama Plange started his career in Ghana with renowned football academy, Gomoa Feteh Feyenoord, before moving to Ivory Coast and later naturalising for Burkina Faso, where he made his debut in 2011 in a friendly against South Africa.
