Ghana forward Michael Helegbe swept the Top Scorer and Best Goal of the season awards at the annual Lebanese top flight end of season awards ceremony held on Friday night.
The 29-year-old finished his debut season for Tripoli SC with 19 goals in 23 matches (16 in the league) to emerge the top scorer of the division.
Helgebe's thunderous 35-yard strike against Al-Nabi Shayth was also adjudged the best goal of the season.
The former Liberty Professionals and Medeama playmaker became an instant hit in just his first season with Tripoli.
He helped the side win the Lebanese Cup having missed out on the league title.
Helegbe's success brings to fore his re-emergence after going off the radar for a while.
