Ghanaian key trio led by former Liberty Professional Michael Helegbe helped AC Tripoli to be crowned their impressive season with the Lebanese FA Cup after beating Al Najmeh 2-1 at the Saida International stadium.
The Ghanaian trio of Michael Helegbe, Douglas Nkrumah and Emmanuel Teyehugmeh have been in great form for their Labanese side AC Tripoli helping them to a 4th place finish with 33points as well as winning the FA Cup trophy.
Helegbe was the second top scorer in the league with 16 goals one behind Argentine Lucas Matias Galan who scored 17 goals.
AC Tripoli were more motivated to win the FA Cup after they lost it against Salam Zgharta the previous season.
The win over Al Nejmeh in the final of this year's FA Cup was a repeat of one of the semi final games of the previous season where AC Tripoli beat Al Nejmeh by the same margin 2-1.
The trio have pledge to work even harder in the next season to help AC Tripoli win the league next season something the club has done only once in 2002/2003 season.
